Grove Case Clinics
The Grove Case Clinics are peer-learning spaces that explore organizational challenges through the application of The Grove’s process models, tools and methods. Facilitated by an experienced Grove consultant with input from selected peer coaches, each session focuses on a participant’s specific problem.
If you’re grappling with an organizational challenge, we invite you to submit your case or just be present as a witness to this powerful approach. You can also apply to be part of the peer coaching group.
These are free, 90-minute online events.
Case Clinic Process
Inspired by the Case Clinic approach developed by the Presencing Institute, each Case Clinic includes a case giver, a small group of peer coaches and an audience. This process is supported by practices such as witnessing (attentive listening), reflecting back, shared inquiry and examining application practices.
The Grove Case Clinics are guided by the following principles:
- Be specific. The case should present a leadership challenge that is current and concrete.
- Include a decision maker or influencer. The case giver needs to be a key decision maker or influencer in the case.
- Reinforce peer relationships. The participants in the Case Clinics are co-learners. As peers they are learning from and with each other.
- Practice listening. Coaches don’t give advice; instead, they listen deeply.
- Inquiry-based. Through generative questions, coaches help evolve perspectives and offer approaches for examination.
